The Churchill Dairy Shorthorn Stud was owned by Dr Harry Jenkins during his private ownership of Churchill Island, who also bred and managed the livestock for sale within this document. Several items were given by a seafarer, Mr Nicholas Garlick (1926-2009) into the care of Father Brady who retired from St Pauls Cathedral, Melbourne in 2018. Father Brady later donated the collection of objects, documents and an extensive collection of cruise ship menus (1937-end of 20thC) to the Mission via the intermediary William Hastie, volunteer at the Mission for Seafarers. VX 27898 Corporal Thomas John Morris Thomas (Tom Thomas) donated several items to Cranbourne RSL. He served in the Australian Corp Signals in WWII both in Australia and overseas. He was born at Womerah on 9/11/1906 and died at Koo Wee Rup 16/06/1984. He enlisted at Yarram on 1/7/1940 and was discharged at Royal Park on 9/3/1945.Bi-fold cardboard dinner menu from the H.T. Queen Mary dated Thursday, December 26 1940. On the front cover there is a colour illustrated drawing of a cruise liner, the "Aquitania" and in the bottom right corner, the Cunard White Star emblem. On the inside cover, there are inscribed in ink the names and service numbers of all who attended the dinner.
