The Toopship A.38 HMAT Ulysses sailed with Reinforcements from Melbourne on 27.10.1915. On board was Archibald Clarkson Jones, 2672, 6th Reinforcements to the 23rd Batt AIF. The photo is part of a collection of items relating to A C Jones. Refer 1040 medals. Part of the William (Bill) Thomason collection, refer Cat No 4136P for more items.Black and white photo glued to a backing piece. The backing is cardboard, greyish blue in colour. There is a pressed edge around the photo to give the appearance of a frame.Under the photo is hand written in white ink, Reinforcements 23rd Bat 6th Inf Brigade marching on troopship A.38.
