This company was registered in May 1871. It amalgamated the Adventure, Advance and Try-me-well mines to mine below the 300 foot levels of these mines.Collection of Government Gazette and newspaper articles relating to the 'Adventure and Advance Amalgamated Quartz Mining Company' on the Victoria Reef, Sandhurst. . Papers include the registration notice of the Mine in 1871, detailing the shareholders. Half yearly meeting reports 1872 - 1880 are attached. Slip of paper attached to each item describes the content, for example 'Half yearly meeting reports of the Adventure and Advance Company as published in the Bendigo Advertiser from 30.1.1872 - 31.8.1880. Missing February 1873, February 1877. Also included, Victoria Consols Company Reports 31.8.1880.adventure gold mine, sandhurst, goldmining, adventure and advance amalgamated quartz mining company -

Many Bendigo hotels included Skittle Alley's and some early mentions of these include Epsom in 1856. Teams could even play for monetary prizes. Although generally considered an indoor game, skittles also made appearances at outings such as picnics and race meetings.2 Wooden skittles with knob at the top. ... toys ...Item used to simulate or play being a tram conductor, about 15 tickets from each block have been used or removed. Received with a "conductors" badge and cardboard cut out coins. See items 8604 and 8605. Wording and parts of the layout on the ticket typical of a Melbourne tram ticket. Manufacturer not known or the date, possibly mid 1950's based on the cardboard coins. The donor, who lived in Melbourne, recalls that they were part of an outfit which consisted of these items, a conductors cap and bag, similar to a Melbourne conductor's bag. Demonstrates a toy or item used by children to simulate or play being a tram conductor. Heavy cardboard folded to form a tram ticket wallet containing four blocks of tickets, individually numbered. Kew Historical Society IncLeisure object, Teddy Bear, 1930-1955
In August, 1920, The Kew Town Council decided to establish a Baby Health Centre in Kew. The first Centre was opened in a room in the Town Hall in Walpole Street on 5 November 1920. In May 1939, the Railway Commissioners agreed to lease a site at the Kew Railway Station for a Baby Health Centre for a term of 21 years at 3 pounds per annum. A building, designed by Roland Chipperfield, was erected, and the Centre previously conducted at the Town Hall transferred there. This became known as the Denmark Street Baby Health Centre. (Cr. W.D.
