The name " Balmain " has been attributed to the photo, James Balmain and his wife, Amy Sophia [D'Alton} purchased a vacant school cottage from the area and moved it to their land and called it Bellfield. This house belonged to Walter Zumstein of the Zumsteins area. The house was burnt down in 1938.
