Small silver cased tape measure. One side has a coloured drawing of a RAAF emblem (Wings and Crown) under the emblem are the words: - "Royal Australian Air Force". There is a light green circle around the circumference. The actual tape is of a fibrous material and is marked in inches. There is a metal ring on the end of the tape. The top of the sight featured a spirit level. At each end there is a brass and steel winder that can depress or elevate the sight which rides on a semi-circular copper coloured slider.
