Document - HANRO COLLECTION: LETTERS - MR GRANGER AND MARIE CRAWFORD
Three letters pinned together. The first is a handwritten letter to Mr Granger from Marie Crawford (Maranta) dated 5/5/32. She mentions that at the present time second mortgages are worthless for her experiences in investments first are of little value. Signed Marie Crawford (Maranta). The second letter is to the Secretary of Hanro from Marie Maranta advising that she has changed her name, by marriage to Mrs M Crawford and she authorises the Secretary to make the necessary alteration in the Register of Members. Dated 5//532. The third letter is dated the 9/5/1932 to Mrs M Crawford acknowledging her letter and notification of change of name. The Secretary also mentions the matter of alteration of 8% Preference Shares to Second Mortgage Debentures. Three cut-throat razors, boed units in deteriorated condition: 22b - box marked Pittock,blade marked Bengall, manufacturers name on reverse side T. R. Cadman & Sons, Sheffield England 22c - red box has remains of Sheffield England marked on the smaller end of box. Blade is damaged and rusted. Blade black handle is notated with Bengall, while blade itself is etched Made Specially for A. Edments Pty. Ltd.; reverse notes manufacturer as T. R. Cadman & Sons, Sheffield England 22d - box has no discernible markings, but has minor taped repair on larger section. Document. Handwritten letter to George and Dave Harris of Axedale from Walter Ching informing them of the death of their sister Laura, dated October 16th 1914. Cream paper with black border. Blue envelope addressed to ''Mr Dave and George Harris, Axedale. Letter written from Dobie, near Ararat, where Ching family had moved from Axedale. Walter Ching's parents,Walter William and Harriet Ching are buried in the Bendigo Cemetery, MON H6. Walter Ching was killed in Action in WW1- 8.10.1917, aged 21. No known grave.
