This is a photograph of Sir Hector Ross MacLennan (1905- 1978). MacLennan, also a Professor, was President of RCOG London from 1963-1966.Framed black and white portrait photograph with wide cream mount. Photograph depicts a smiling man in a dark suit coat, with dark tie, white shirt and white pocket handkerchief. Photo frame is made of dark coloured wood. Built in 1947 by A.V.Jennings and Co. Lived in for 34 years by Sir Billy and Lady Sneddon.Folder compiled by Richard Carter (C.E. Carter & Sons, RESI) containing various plans, title and notes on the development and extensions to the house, of significance because it was the home of Liberal Parliamentarian and leader of the Liberal Party Sir Billy Snedden.(1926-1987). Built in 1947 by A.V.Jennings for J.M.C. Pratt. Sir Billy and Lady Snedden bought the property in 1963 and Lady Snedden sold it in 1997.

The Presbyterian congregation began in 1854. The first St Andrews church was built in Myers Street in 1859 but this was demolished and the current stuccoed brick building was built in 1930.
