Photo depicts the combined Elders, Dennys sheep sale held at Jerilderie on 5 Oct. 1973, where 60,000 sheep were sold, which constituted the largest wool sale at that time. The photographer was Frank Johnstone, now retired, of the newspaper 'Stock and Land' who covered the sale.
