The President in 1980 was Karl Robertson. A major issue for his year in office was the question of the extension of eligibility for membership to categories of ex-servicemen who had not served overseas or in the other areas presently defined in the Code. Document is dated 12/10/1981 as the presidential year ran from March to the following February and this was written sometime after he was replaced as president. Was in a binder of documents that is passed from an outgoing President to the incoming President. It is primarily from the 1930s to 1990s. It was mooted that the Olympic Village for the 1988 Olympic Games (which may have been held in Melbourne) was proposed for the grounds around VCAH Burnley. The principal, Mr Davis, is stated to have been keen about the prospect because of the huge influx of money there would have been for the college. Said public transport union has been superceded by the RTBU since 1993.Three (3) blue receipts (numbers 1752-1754, consecutive) with the phone number and address of the Victoria Branch of the AT&MOEA. All are from 1981, with handwriting indicating a signed date of 7 October of that year. Receipts are originally intended for quarterly tickets, but receipts 1752 and 1753 have handwriting indicating their actual use: "Joining Fee" and "arrears" respectively. Said 2 receipts also have the quarterly ticket price crossed out with actual amounts of their corresponding intended transactions annotated (both are A$1). Receipt 1754 is for a quarterly ticket.
