Age newspaper 24.10.1898. This newspaper was used as packing for a picture in the children's room, and the paper would have been read by August Schwerkolt. The house was purchased by Whitehorse Council, and pulled down in 1924. Therefore, it can be considered an outstanding representation of its type, and is a reference example for research in early Victorian school history.
