Report - titled "Information - Resilient CSS (Concrete) Track" - prepared by the MMTB Engineering Testing Branch Dec. 1962. Report No. I 5/1/146. The report looks at the use of mass concrete where the rail is fully embedded and the noise issues compared with track fitted with a rubber-fluted rail pad. Details the tests undertaken and the results. Recommends a 100m test section be constructed and provides an estimate for this.
