Allan Charles Quinn was a member of the Merchant Navy from aged 16 as well as being a trained photographer. Originally a grocery store when the Moar brothers lived at number 11 in the 1950s, run by Cockcrofts. After Cockcrofts it was Davis and they turned it into a hardware store and timber yard at the side.
