Presented to Ken Hill by the artist Josef Thum as a token of his friendship. Thum was an Austrian POW at Camp 13 who was permitted to assist Ken Hill who was a mobile cinema operator, as a member of the Australian Amenities Service - AAA's Mobile Cinema Unit No 36 - around 1946-47. Made in Camp 13 by a POW.Rectangular light and dark wood cigarette case. One side has 2 birds sitting on 2 rings and 2 flowers on stems. The other side has a diamond inlay into triangles of different shades of brown wood. A small green square opens a slide lid to allow access to cigarettes.
