Six photos of the exterior and interior of Thomas Kinsella's past residence in grounds of St Patrick's Catholic Church taken 2000. The house "Donanore" was built in 1900 by Thomas Kinsella and was the family residence for many years. The Stawell news of 26.1.1924 reported the arrival of nuns from the order of Sisters of Joseph. The nuns resided in the house for many years. Three of the six photos are of the interior. One of the front door surrounded by stained glass windows. Another a detail of an external door. The third a view of a statue at the end of the hallway. Coloured photos of the historic Literary Institute during renovation. The building was a private residence for many years (for Mrs. Feilding) and later as the Tourist Office for a short period. Then as a cafe, restaurant for a short period, then in 2012 privately owned.3 Coloured photographs of restoration work of the historical Literary Institute. Two photos, one in (Album 1 p36.) show external work and one of internal renovations. The internal photo shows 3 adults and one child looking at the renovations. Worksheet notes state the adults were Historical Society members. The internal photo shows the lower ground floor completely removed. The two external photos appear to show the building open for visitors as sign boards are out on the verge.stawell
