Details the timetables for the Tramway Board, Northcote Council, PMTT, NMETL, HTT, MBCTT and the VR Brighton line. Gives details of fares, routes, signs, first and last cars. Middle page - has a map and details of a Round trip and shows other lines and change points. Foldout map included on the inside rear cover, showing tramways, railways and rivers. Has many advertisements for the re-election of Sir Frank Madden (he was not re-elected - see http://www.parliament.vic.gov.au/re-member/details/569-madden-frank - accessed 30-12-2016). Polling day 15/11/1917. Colour postcard divided back - Biscay Greetings, of an photo looking southwards along Swanston St from near Bourke St with trams 685 and 772 running routes 64 and 8 respectively. Has Ted's Camera store, The Sun, Batman books and Billy Guyatts stores signs in the photograph. Back has space for name and address, stamp and a message and details of the postcard. Set of destination indicator equipment that was fitted to Z3 and A class trams. Each item consists of various electronic parts contained within a metal case that could have been cabled together. Equipment manufactured by (Carl) C. Brose of Wuppertal Germany and maintained by Font Electronics of Melbourne - some items have the manufacturers details on them along with the details of the maintenance company and serial numbers etc. Photo .1 - shows the set of equipment as placed on display in the training room. .1 - set of two route number boxes, three individual controlled blinds, driven by a motor and control gear. Has a Fluro light fitted internally. See images .2 to .5 .2 - Small side destination indicator, with driven blind, electronic equipment with motor on the underside of the box - for use in Z class trams - see images .6 to .9 .3 - as for .2, but with motor mounted right side, used in A class trams, see images .10 to .12 .4 - set of two control panels with selection equipment for selecting the destination (by number) and route number with indicators and start button - see image .13 to 14 .5 - set of two long main rolls indicators, with control gear and Fluro light internally, driven by an internal electric motor - see images 17 and 18 .6 - set of two linking mechanism for the various boxes with large cables cut off for each of the four tram boxes. Only the top page has been imaged. .1 - 21 page (top page loose), "The Town of Essendon and The Borough of Flemington and Kensington with A. E. Morgans Esq Agreement" dated 26/9/1904, sets out routes, gauge, motive power, maximum speed, safety, tolls and charges, use, power house, default and various responsibilities. Last page has signature details. .2 - 8 pages bound with a clip, marked "A", dated 26/9/1904, Agreement of Delegation of Morgan's rights to the North Melbourne Electric Tramways and Lighting Co. Ltd. .3 - 15 page bound with a clip, marked "B" dated 26/9/1906, (1904?) agreement of Delegation of Morgan's rights for the transfer of order under Electric Light and Power Act 1896. Failed to meet its new 82% punctuality target (up from 77%) in 5 of past 12 months. Fined more than $300K in penalties. Both public transport operators won 7 year contracts in 2017. Tram route 86 has lowest punctuality (75.1%), more than 6500 services short shunted (7.5% of all services). Government says tram performance has improved overall due to tougher targets. Customer surveys show 15% drop in complaints to Yarra Trams. Set of five Colour slides, Kodak, white cardboard mount of track laying and the construction of the Flinders Street overpass during November 1959. .1 - Photo showing the tram line in the pre location position with the new track over the first stage of the overpass read to be cut in. 15/11/1959. Tram running a route 46. Keith notes - 317 to Spencer St terminus in Flinders St from Cnr of Spencer with temporary track ready for trams on the overpass. .2 - track being tested on 21/11/1959 - has the Flinders St station and signal gantry in the background. On the bridge is a sign for Coffey Ford. Keith notes - 903 stranded on temporary track as test car for Kings St bridge overpass Flinders St between William and Market Sts. .3 - tram 903 testing the track, has a number of workers in the view - 22/11/1959 Keith's notes - 903 first tram (on its second use) testing Flinders St overpass track and approach curves on east side. .4 - trams 939 (route 46) and 350 (route 27, Spencer St) at the east end of the new bridge with people watching.
