Mandarin collar with two gold and silver metal collar badges - crown, snake on pole, laurel wreath and ribbon scroll with lettering - "ROYAL ARMY MEDICAL CORPS" - British - Tailor made uniform. Shoulder epaulettes - gold colour twisted braid with two gold, blue and green metal rank pips = Lieutenant. on right epaulette. In all three cases they are suspended from an epaulette and using Velcro, wrap around the wearers upper arm. 1. This has a sewn Crown on it. Suspension is by a nylon strap at rear. 2. Japanese Surrender Ceremony at MOROTAI on 9 Sept 1945. Japanese Officer in the dark uniform is Lieutenant General Fusataro TESHIMA, Leader of the Japanese 2nd Army. The second man is a Japanese Naval Officer Captain Toru OYAMA. The Australian Officer at the table is Lieutenant General Frank BERRYMAN, a member of Blamey's staff. An audible recording of the ceremony is apparently on the internet including Blamey's speech.Four black and white photos. 1.
