Whittingslowe Engineers Ltd of Adelaide was an Australian manufacturer. A patent for the 'Hot-Glow' water bottles was issued to the company in 1945. An advertisement in 1946 (Morning Bulletin, 19/06) describes the bottles as all metal and advertised their price as 11/6 each.These two hot water bottles are fine and rare examples of products produced by a major Australian engineering and manufacturing company.Two brass cylindrical hot water bottles, manufactured by Whittingslowe. Used for surgery relating to the thyroid gland.This is one of a collection of items associated with Dr Felix Henry Meyer (1858-1937). Meyer was a very prominent early obstetrician and doctor, playing a part in the establishment of the role of the chair of obstetrics at the University of Melbourne in 1929. He was also a foundation member of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.Set of metal forceps. Design resembles a pair of scissors, consisting of two blades, joined with a pin, with a ratchet for clamping below the finger grips/handles. At the end of each blade of the forceps is a three pronged claw. The manufacturer's name, 'MEDICAL SUPPLY DEPOT', is engraved on one of the blades.'MEDICAL SUPPLY DEPOT'surgery

ticketDemonstrates a range of tickets stamped ELECTRICITY SUPPLY COMPANY used by the Provincial Tramways of Victoria.Assorted State Electricity Commission Victoria tramway tickets 1930 - 1972. The tickets, known as "flimsies", have a value of 1, 1 1/2, 2 and 3 pence. The tickets are, with the exception of one, full length and have not been ripped from the stub. Some have an Alphabet identification followed by a date stamp. Others have either a 1 or 2 digit number. The ticket value is of a size that covers most of the destination section of the ticket, with the information being printed in black on a variety of different colored papers. The full length, un-nipped tickets with Row 1, ticket 3 "Secns re blank spaces" written in pencil on front of ticket.
