Chris Marks studied at RMIT, and was an artist. She also contributed to the art and cultural life of Eltham Shire (later Nillumbik shire,) encouraging its artists at all levels. She was curator of collections for Nillumbik Council from 1991 to 2006. She died 19 April 2007. She was married to John, their children Bianca and Ben.
