Framed presentation to the Mayoress of Bendigo Mrs.M.G.Giudice from the Debutantes of the Mayoral Ball in 1923 with a collage of 10 oval shaped hand coloured photographs, 9 of which are the Debutantes and 1 of the Mayoress, under glass with a gold mount and with a gold coloured timber frame. John Fletcher (1857-19/10/1903) was a shift boss at the Hustler's Mine. Formerly from Sebastian, he came to Bendigo in 1899. He married Eliz. Hinchcliff in 1881 and they lived in Job's Gully. He was a member of the Bendigo Miner's Association and often subscribed to the Bendigo Independent newspaper, which sent Mrs Fletcher a gift of 25 pounds in appreciation. He was killed in a mining accident at Hustler's Mine.Paper certificate mounted on card presented to Mrs Fletcher and family from Hustlers No. 1 mine, upon the death of John Fletcher in a mine accident.
