A.P Winzenreid described the photos as: Top left (photo 3): Espaliered fruit tree on fence, established and trained by George Russ and continued as a feature of interest into the 1950s. Located in old nursery area. Top right (photo 4): orchard spraying. Bottom left (photo 5): View of pavilion. Note Luffmann's pond and Pinus radiata planted in 1860s and removed by G. Manley and A.
