Jonathan Harris operated a winery on the banks of the Axe Creek, Axedale in the 1850s. A curved wooden shaft two centimetres diameter at the top, five centimetres diameter at the bottom and 150 centimetres long. Two wooden handles three centimetres diameter and 11 centimetres long are attached to the shaft. At the bottom of the shaft a curved metal blade is attached, it's 75 centimetres long and nine centimetres wide at the shaft and tapers to a point. Possibly belonged in the original ANZ bank (cnr of Melville & Quinn St)Round-faced wooden clock with Roman numerals. Glass front can open. Back of clock is rectangular wooden box with a curved base. This section can be taken off to reveal the clock's mechanism. Also on the rectangular box are various smaller openings. The opening on the curved based can be used to hang the pendulum which is currently inside the wooden box.Indecipherable pencil writing on the back. The three prongs curve away from the handle to 14 centimetres from the line of the handle. The wooden handle is three and a half centimetres diameter at its widest and tapers to two and a half centimetres, it is135 centimetres long. It has some yellow paint on it. On one end six centimetres is folded back to form a handle. On the other end 14 centimetres is flattened to a width of two centimetres and half a centimetre thick, the last six centimetres is bent to 90 degrees and has a one centimetre square hole in it. The base has a four centmetres metal band around it that extends two and a half centimetres below the bottom of the tub. The bottom of the tub is an oval 54 centimetres long and 41 centimeters wide. The wall is 32 centimetres high with rolled rim half a centimetre wide on the top, it's made in two pieces that are folded together at each end. The top of the tub is an oval 70 centimetres long and 51 centimetres wide. There are identical metal handles at the top of the tub at each end, they are made of a one centimetre diameter metal rode, they have a nine centimetres long grip, a four centimetre piece at right angles on each end and a two centimetre long piece at the opposite right angle on the end which is inserted into a two centimetre loop that's attached to the tub. Photo is said to be of Schoolers' homestead,Lake Lonsdale. Miss Scouller was the teacher at Halls Gap Primary school in 1921.Spelling of Schooler varies from that on front of photo to 'Scouller' which appears in book "Bridging the Gap'.Photo shows bark roofed building on a bank of a body of water . The first Tawonga bridge was built in 1884. It was destroyed by floods in 1916. The new bridge was constructed in 1923 and destroyed in 1953. The present concrete bridge was constructed in 1986 and named Ryders Bridge.
