Yields information about one of the first two maximum traction bogie trams in Ballarat in October 1945 after it had been repainted for use in Ballarat by the SEC and a little photographed single truck tram No. 24. Also has pedestrians in view.Black and White photograph, No. 15 and 24 at the city stop, corner of Lydiard and Sturt Sts, with the Town Hall in the background. Demonstrates domestic items manufactured soon after the establishment of the tramway systems in Ballarat.Ash Tray - white glazed on front, unglazed rear with gold edge trim, light weight China in the shape of a "spade" with an image of the intersection of Sturt St and Lydiard St from the Post Office looking at the buildings on the south side of Sturt St including the Town Hall with two electric trams and the tram lines in the view. One of the trams is hauling a trailer. Possibly made mid to late 1900's. Photo taken 11/02/1966, published 12/02/1966. No. 35 has an "Electric Cooking Serves you best" roof advertisement and has a Sebastopol destination. Significant in being the last rotation roster sheet prepared for Ballarat, gives details of the crew working. Issued when only one route was left to be closed.Single sheet of off white foolscap size duplicating paper Rotation Roster dated 9/8/1971. Prepared for the last phase of the Ballarat Tramways, Sebastopol - Lydiard St. Nth routes only. Printed by wax cut stencil or Gestetner method. Details the run number operated by crew on a particular table for the day of the week. Two copies held. Has initials LJD:JG in top right hand corner. Yields information about the opening of the tram line to Lydiard St North and the people who attended it.Digital image from the Wal Jack Ballarat Album of No. 32, the Official opening tram for the extension to Lydiard St North at Gregory St. Tram has been decorated for the event. Taken from behind as all the dignitaries etc are at the front of the tram. Dated of photo 28-8-1937. Photographer not given, assumed the same as the other four on the album sheet.
