Yields information about the operation of the tram system when a delayed occurred at the Lydiard St Level crossing, how it was overcome. Also gives information about the Councils view of the level crossing itself.Photocopy, of an item in the Ballarat Courier, 5/5/1951 titled "Train Astride Crossing Trams Delayed Hour", following the delay in the crossing when a rail broke under a goods train. Held up trams and others for about an hour and half. Notes the SEC used a replacement bus service. Gave the City of Ballaarat space to complain about the crossing and its need to be replaced. Issued commencing 1 January 2008, to replace the 80c child single journey ticket. Stapled with a heavy staple at the top of the ticket onto a heavy brown cardboard sheet. With worksheet is a "Notice to Traffic Staff", issued by the Operations Manager, 26/10/2007. Yields information about the last day of the Ballarat Tram Depot operations with the payout and the closure of the gate.Newspaper Clipping from the Courier, Saturday 9 Oct 1971 - titled "End of an Era", of the last day of the tramway depot in Wendouree Parade. Photo features Stan Lakey, foreman at the tramways depot for 23 years, closing the gate at the tramway depot. The men (workers) had been paid off the previous day by Mr. W. Trusler, supervisor. Yields information about the despatch of a bogie tram to the Sydney Tramway Museum, being loaded in Wendouree Parade, outside the depot, using two cranes and the road being closed.Newspaper Clipping from the Courier, 28 September 1971, titled "Tram No 37 off to Sydney". Features a photo of Bogie tram No. 37 being lifted by two cranes in Wendouree Parade outside the tram depot. Notes that the tram is being taken to Sydney, for the "South Pacific Electric Traction Association Museum". Gives a history of its operation in four cities.
