This crochet chart was designed by the twentieth century crochet pattern designer, Mary Card, for the Victorian Centenary in 1934. It was published in the Australian Home Beautiful magazine on November 1934. The chart was published in four sections, with instructions for working it as a complete piece. Large rectangular sepia print of the beach and beach front at Scheveningen. Among other beachfront buildings it features the famous Kurhaus Hotel and walkers on the sandy beach at what appears to be low tide. The sky is filled with dark glowering clouds. There are no swimmers apart from seagulls. The print has been professionally framed and has a strong wire at the back.Scheveningen Beach. The Hague. Netherlands. 1998. There is also an indistinguishable signature and the mark 25/100. The latter indicates this is no.25 in a limited edition of 100.

The Duncan family have occupied 'Glencoe' since 1888 when John Duncan purchased it from M. O'Brien. The Kaolin quarries at Bulla were an important industry in the district and supplied clay products to the Cornwell and Hoffman companies in Brunswick. The Kaolin deposits were found in the 1850's and were considered to be some of the largest in the colony.A landscape photograph of a valley with a post and wire fence and a partial view of a farm gate in the immediate foreground. The Northern District School of Nursing opened in 1950 to address the issues around nurse recruitment, training and education that had previously been hospital based. The residential school was to provide theoretical and in-house education and practical training over three years. The students would also receive practical hands-on training in the wards of associated hospitals. The Northern District School of Nursing operated from Lister House, Rowan Street, Bendigo.
