The photo has written on it in white ink "Goodfellows "Ferry" over any difficulty including the "Badger" " and date of 18.3.12. which is a reference to the General Strike in Brisbane of Jan 1912 by Brisbane Tramway Company workers over the wearing of Union badges which was strongly opposed by the Company Manager Joesph 'Boss' Badger. One of three similarly presented scrapbooks that came from the Public Relations Department. They were created by PR as an historical chronological record of the publication of the advertisements. They are significant as the only complete sets of council advertisements for the periods outlined in the description. Large cloth bound hard cover scrapbook, red colour. The pages inside the scrapbook have black and white cut out newspaper clippings adhered to the cream colour paper pages. Title of publications and dates have been hand written adjacent to the clipping.
