Printed single sheet pamphlet, advertising the formation of the BTPS following the end of the SEC system and seeking support. Has a sketch of a bogie tram in the top right hand corner. References to Ballarat spelt with 'aa'. Has post office box number, but with box number in a different type face, almost handwritten. Has Bendigo bogie car in background. Also the Beehive building and Ezywalkin shoes. Nucolorvue postcard BE41 on rear and other information in green ink. 963.2 - "Tram No. 25, a maximum traction car built in 1916. Now operated by The Bendigo Trust between Central Deborah Mine and Emu Point." Features No. 25 in Bendigo Trust colours with Coca Cola and Bendigo Timber Co ads on the roof. On nearby pole is a "Bendigo Talking Vintage Tram" signs. In background is the Beehive building and other buildings near Charing Cross. Nucolorvue postcard BE52 on rear and other information in green ink. 963.3 - "Birney Tram No. 30 decorated for a Royal Tour occasion. The Bendigo trust operates this tram and others on a tourist service between Central Deborah Mine and the Chinese Joss House at Emu Point." Newspaper clipping from The Courier, 6/8/1971 about the request by the BTPS to approve in principle the operation of a working tramway museum in Ballarat. Mentions track in Wendouree Parade, temporary storage of trams in the depot, tramcars to be allocated to the BTPS, findings of the Tourism Committee and comments from Councillors. Also notes statement by Mr. Tom Evans about the approval of the SEC for the used of the existing depot for storage until the new depot is built. Suggest that a bogey (bogie) be kept to enable the reconstruction of a horse tram. Two Newspaper clippings pasted onto a single sheet of paper with two Punch holes on the left hand side. First clipping from The Courier, Ballarat, Thursday 19/8/1971 of two photos of a bogie trams in Sturt St. The first one with tram 40 derailed near the intersection of Sturt St with another bogie tram behind. Both trams showing destination of "Special". The photos are associated with a tram tour for Ballarat North Technical School. See Reg items 3765, 3766 for actual prints of the Courier photographs. Second cutting dated 23/7/71 discusses the replacement of the trams with buses, the various dates and trams being sought for preservation after closure, including the City of Ballaarat, the Borough of Sebastopol and the BTPS. Quotes Mr. Pellas, the manager of the Mid-Western Electricity Supply Branch. Newspaper cutting has been altered by cutting to fit the required space on the sheet, and possibly has left out a line in the last column.In red ink in on the first cutting, adjacent to the photo caption "19/8/71" and on second cutting, "23/7/71" in red ink on the right hand upper side of the cutting. Photo 1 - 260mm long x 122mm high, photo of north east Ballarat from Town Hall, looking out to Black Hill. Photo similar to Reg. No. 102, but buildings on corner of Grenville and Bridge St has a Plume sign instead of a Mobilgas Ad. This indicates early to mid 1950's. One tram in loop in one in Bridge St. Also has a "Neptune" sign in photograph. Photo 2 - 195mm long x 75mm high - from north east corner of Sturt and Lydiard Sts looking towards Town Hall and Craig's Hotel. Photo shows four people standing by the front of a SEC bogie tram, number not shown, possibly 18, with an AETA special tour sign in the window. Negative No. 239 Two signs on the front panel, top reads "BENDIGO TRAMWAYS 1903-1953", the second a painted picture of a small digging for a gold mine with a miner and windlass, with "1903" and "1953" on either side. Two flags on either side of the panel as well. Copy negative scanned at high res 18/5/2020 and image replaced. A group of four posters published for the centenary of Melbourne trams in 1985 by the Metropolitan Transit Authority 701.1 - Poster on creamy paper, title "The Centennial Celebration of the Melbourne Tram 1885 - 1985", features cable tram dummy, bogie cable trailer, horse tram, A, F, J, S, W2, U, SW2, Z3, and A class of 1984 on poster with three tickets illustrated as well. (two copies of this poster added June 2000 - from the ARHS Vic. Ten issues of "Electric Traction" of the Australian Electric Traction Association. 1303.1 - Vol VI, No. 4, April 1951 - printed covers with four pages of duplicated notes - in poor condition, torn along centre and some edge damage. Page 3 includes notes on the Provincial systems about bogie cars going to Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong. 1303.2 - Vol VI, No. 5, May 1951- printed covers with four pages of duplicated notes - in fair condition - covers have yellowed. 1303.3 - Vol VI, No. 6, June 1951 - as for 1303.2 - in good condition - some foxing on covers. 1303.4 - Vol VI, No. 7, July 1951 - as for 1303.2 - in good condition, though the insert pages have suffered some edge damage as slightly larger in size than the printed covers. 1303.5 - Vol VI, No. 8 - August 1951 - as for 1303.2 - in good condition - includes an article on page 3 about Ballarat news - including relaying of Sturt and Drummond Sts junction, service cuts, fare increase, No. 23, and extension of the depot to accommodate bogie cars. 1303.6 - Vol VI, No. 9 - September 1951 - 8 pages all printed - includes on page 3 - item re Ballarat No. 23 withdrawn for scrapping, and bogie cars at Geelong. In good condition. 1303.7 - Vol VI, No. 12 - December 1951 - 6 printed pages - includes items re bogie cars at Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong. In good condition. 1303.8 - Vol VIII, No. 8 - August 1953 - 6 printed pages with green title details - has an item that Wal Jack was recently given a front page write up in the Courier. Shown as being printed by "Traction Press" of the same address as the publisher - Traction Publications. In good condition. 1303.9 - Vol VIII, No. 9 - September 1953 - 8 printed pages with black title details, page 3 has map of Sydney printed in red and page 6, Sydney rail system. Page 4 has item re the Geelong system and a forthcoming Transport Regulation Board inquiry. In good condition though has been folded in the middle. Printer as for 1303.8 1303.10 - Vol VIII No. 2 - February 1953 - 6 printed pages - includes Tramways of Collie WA, Sydney News, Melbourne cable car conversion dates, electric railway news and branch news and notes Basil Miller has been appointed as an Inspector in Bendigo. 1303.10 - added 28/3/2010 - sourced from donations to the Museum by R.
