It was noted that a fundraising campaign had been established to raise $100,000 from the Mildura District community for a Radio station for the Print Handicapped at Mildura. The "Paving the Way" program which was designed to help build the National Information Centre at Kooyong had been launched. For a gift of $100, individuals, businesses and organisations may have their names permanently inscribed on the brick pavers used to create the area.
