Document details depot rules for depot staff, including safety, access to depot and provides a number of rules from those of Motormen and Conductors that depot staff must also follow. Includes Appendix A - first aid treatment - electric shock, wounds and burns and appendix B, a form that had to be signed by a new employee about their health, awareness of electric power, "live" and notification to senior officer if unfit to perform work in elevated positions. Yields information about the process for recording tramcar mileage against a run number and the use paperwork put to - waste paper?Gestetner reproduced 'State Electricity Commission of Victoria / Electricity Supply Department/Ballarat Branch/ Trams out from Depot and Mileage Run' consisting of a single sheet with details of "Time Out, Time In, Normal Mileage, Variations of cars in Service and Run Number" with a space for the actual tram used to be entered against the respective run". For weekdays only. On rear has pencil sketch of a crossing and the possibly the over gauge recordings on a curve or the offsets for setting out a curve. This could mean that is was used a piece of scrap paper - the form having being superseded at the time. Demonstrates aspects of the Ballarat Tramways management system of Conductors rosters interfacing with Drivers during the last full period of operation of the tramway from March 1970. Shows the services and how the various run or crew tables were arranged in relation to the overall timetable.Handwritten sheet on graph paper for Weekdays and Saturdays Rosters for the arrangement on Mt Pleasant - Gardens, Victoria St - Gardens and Lydiard St Nth - Sebastopol routes. Gives the various run numbers, sign on location, trip take times, notes on what to do with trams, sign off times, interface with other runs. Shows the full service where conductors were used and how the various run or crew tables were arranged. See Reg item 3429 for Drivers table. Shows the total revenue and passengers and how the passengers were counted. Demonstrates the system used to compile revenue returns and passenger numbers.Set of 34 completed "Revenue Journals", for recording the value of tickets sold by Conductors. Compiled for the 11/3/1971, "D" tin. Shows how the forms were completed and who was on duty that day. Have been signed by each conductor. Numbers of checks issued varies from 6 to 499. Outfit 41D has notes regarding a school passenger. Gives the totals, cash returned and overs/under amounts. Has a metal folding pin near the top left hand corner of the sheet, with the cover giving details of the outfit and date. Yields information about the style and printing of tickets used in Ballarat tramways and how they were presented.Sheet of leather, approx 2mm thick, stained brown with four pockets formed on each side with another sheet of leather, stitched on all sides to form pockets to hold eight blocks of tickets. Stitching is a white colour cotton.
