Ephemera - Ticket - "Zone 2 to Melbourne - Off Peak", The Met, 1983
These tickets were a replacement for the MetroCard Off Peaks introduced in 1980. However, the times of availability were now altered to being valid from 9am weekdays, but more importantly, could be used for return rail travel anytime that day. Like the MetroCards, they also allowed unlimited MMTB tram and bus travel within the Flinders, Spencer, Latrobe, William, Victoria and Spring Streets grid. No conditions were printed on the rear of these tickets. This uniform was worn by Lieutenant Colonel D J Hunter OAM RFD when serving with the 8th/13th Victorian Mounted Rifles. Lt Col Hunter joined 8/13 VMR from 20th National Service Training Battalion in 1956 and served with the regiment till 1967, and again 1977-1980. 8/13 VMR was raised as part of the Citizen Military Forces in May 1948 and was linked with 4th/19th Prince of Wales's Light Horse in October 1990 as part of an Army reorganisation.This uniform is well provenanced, complete and in good condition, and is representative of the uniform worn by an officer of the 8th/13th Victorian Mounted Rifles, a regiment with lineage dating from 1885, but no longer an active regiment in the Australian Army.Khaki wool fabric battledress style jacket with embroidered badges of rank and shoulder titles, yellow cord lanyard, and ribbon bar denoting Australian Active Service Medal, Vietnam Logistic and Support Medal, Australian Service Medal 1945-75, Reserve Forces Decoration and Commemoration of National Service Medal.victorian mounted rifles, uniform -

Mary RASMUSSEN (1940- ) A student of John Gilbert, Mary Rassmussin (Davidson) established her own pottery in 1980. In 1993 she was employed as a Ceramics tearcher at the Ballarat School of Mines. In 2009 Mary Rasmussen celebrated ten years continuous service teaching Ceramics at the Federation Univeristy Arts Academy. In 2015 she curated the 2015 Clunes Ceramics Award. This item is part of the Federation University Art Collection. This small collection contains a disbandment letter from 1984 that advises that 'Minutes, Annual reports etc have been kept faithfully over the years and are intact. In this undated photograph, the machine appears to be either a cassette or cartridge player, and the top and cardigan worn by the lady, indicates that this image may have be taken in the 1980-1990s. BTPS Tram Drivers Certificate printed on fawn stippled paper with brown ink printing and BTPS Tram loco on left BTM corner. Stamped No. 1 and dated as issued to Driver Gavin Young on 22/12/74. Signed by R.Gilbert Traffic Manager. These certificates were printed in the mid 1980's and backdated to when the driver's passed their exams. On the reverse side there is no printing and it is a white sheet of paper. Note: Used for driver's certificates until the BTPS was renamed to the BTM, then a new type issued.
