The manager Peter Hodgetts, seated on top of tram, lived at 1163 Gregory St. Company had 13 cottages for employees building along south side of Gregory St. The Frasers lived next door to the sheds. Norman Fraser remembers a horse named Nobby which could not be shod unless its legs were tied. Big George Barnett did the job. He is pictured standing in from of Mr Fraser Senior along with blacksmiths Moyce and Lang. The drivers were Nicholls, Gaston, Buckley, big George Armstrong (lying on the ground) and John Cameron. Yields information about the trams in Ballarat being decorated for specific occasions or carrying banners for advertising.Two newspaper clipping from The Courier, titled 1. - "Mobile Advertising Medium" - advertising Buy Australian Made, shows a banner on the side of tram 21 (five windows) with a depot employee looking at the banner. Undated. 2 - "Decorated Trams" - about an approach from Cr. Nicholson to the SEC Manager Mr. Linaker, about decorating a tram - purpose unknown, but Mr Linaker advised that all would carry flags - possibly at the time of the royal visit. Yields information about the recovery of ESCo 12 by the BTM in 1990 and has a strong association with the people involved in the project.Set of 14 prints with digital images of the removal of the building around ESCo No. 12 at Nerrina on 3-11-1990. Scanned from original prints loaned by Carolyn Cleak (Dean at the time). Printed on Agfa paper. Newspaper clipping from the Bendigo Advertiser, pages 1 and 2, Tuesday April 18, 1972, the after the commencement of bus operations following the closure of the SEC operated system. Front page has an article titled ""Buses were a little late at first" - about the late running of buses after the change over. On page two are three letters to the editor concerning trams and buses. 1 - "Tram Museum states its case for Bgo trams" - letter from L. N. Millar, Secretary of the TMSV about the actions of the Bendigo Trust and what the TMSV had planned to collect from Bendigo. 2 - "Keep Bendigo the way it is", signed "Bendigonian" about tourism in Bendigo and keeping the landscapes. 3 - "Bus Depot at Charing Cross", signed by David Drummond about bus routes and the impact on Bendigo traffic.
