French Music in the XIX Century by Arthur Hervey. Inside front cover photo of Corporal P.T. Knight whose death in France has just been announced. Mr. Knight was an employee of Allan's, Mitchell Street, Bendigo. He left Australia with the 8th reinforcement for the 6th Brigade. He was well known and much esteemed in Bendigo. He was the solo violin with the Bendigo Lyric Orchestra, also a member of the Military Band, Bendigo.
