' Our Joycie gave Bendigo a lot' Article discussed the life and death of Joyce Smith, former licensee of the Shamrock Hotel from 1952 to 1973. Joyce Smith was a charitable woman, who gave freely to less advantaged people and organisations in Bendigo. She was 66 at the time of her passing. She and her husband, Gerald, first saw the Shamrock whilst on their honeymoon. B. 'Our Joyce, City says Farewell' discussed Joyce Smith's retirement from the Hotel Shamrock. Articles not dated.
