Lalor, Exploration Manager, Minerals, WMC, regarding the objective of the Western Mining Corporation exploration program on the Bendigo goldfield. The major objective is to develop a long term mining operation 'which would be environmentally acceptable' It was considered that the value 'of such an operation to the local community and the Bendigo region would be substantial'.
