Interesting record of commercial gold mining activity in Buninyong in the 1930s depression era.Three gold mining share certificates, set in a wooden edged frame. Two are for Bishop's Gold (Buninyong) and one for Buninyong Rand Mines. Dated from 1936-1938. Each of the certificates were issued to different investors and signed by A. E. Llewellyn as Manager. The Buninyong and District Old Boys' Association was a group of men who lived across Victoria who were former residents of the town. The members' booklet was printed in 1918. The guide was written by Gib Wettenhall in collaboration with the Great Dividing Trail Association and Goldfields Tracks Inc.
