In Row 1, where the tickets have the additional wording "ELECTRICITY SUPPLY DEPARTMENT", either an alphabetic or numerical identifier is used, and either a date stamp or printed number. Row 2, tickets 1-3, have an alphabetical prefix with a six digit identification number. The Row 3, 7 pence ticket has no identification although there is a label with the ticket which says "BALLARAT ?" The ticket in Row 1 (No 3) appears to have the date 19/4/41 written in pencil on the front face. Leather Cash Bags were generally used to transport wages and other cash between two locations. Each would have a brass plate fitted engraved with the home station or a from & to location. Cash would have been transferred from country stations to Melbourne. The lock was self-locking. Duplicate keys to the bags were held in the cashiers office Melbourne.Used at local railway station Portland for transference of cash and cheques back to the Melbourne office. Printed on tan colored card, with black print. It notes Restrictions on the time of travel. The reverse gives additional information about the ticket, including the expiry date. There is a space for the ticket-holder's signature. The Hospital travel voucher is printed on white card with black ink. It is issued by the Electricity supply Department for use on Provincial Trams. The ticket is not transferable. This appears to be a sample and shows that the 2d ticket as shown can be altered in value to 3d,4d,5d,6d or 7d. The photograph features many prominent members of the Ithacan Philanthropic Society during the early 1920s a number of whom were founding members of the Society, including A. J. Lucas (Lekatsas) the founding president and Angelos Lekatsas (Lucas) who was the second president. Archimandrite Irineos Kassimatis is pictured with the group. Most of the group are wearing a buttonhole pin on their jacket lapels which indicates the photo was taken at gathering to celebrate a baptism. It was traditional that following the baptismal service a small icon or cross was pinned on each of the guests to symbolise they were witnesses to the baptism. This pin is called a 'martiriki' derived from the Greek word 'martiras', which translated means a witness. A black and white photograph of eighteen men gathered together in a garden and posing in front of a weatherboard building. Three of the men are sitting on the ground in front of the group.
