All with rounded corners. .1 - Memo dated SEC paper typed, sending to Ballarat a copy of the Question and response. .2 - Copy of the question and response on heat sensitive paper, concerning the suggestion of the AETA to use in Ballarat trams ex Footscray and that the State does an independent survey prior to any potential closure of the Ballarat system. A copy was provided in each tram behind framed glass.Dyeline print of a drawing showing Ballarat Tramway (SEC) Fares, Charges, and Section Map. Also gives charges for Scholar's Monthly tickets, Luggage, Parcels, Newspapers and Chartered trams. Originally dated November 1955, amended January 1962. All fares in shillings and pence. Titled - "Schedule of Fares and Charges - January 1962" See Reg Item 1731 for the following one, which this version amended again and 4136 for the November 1955 version. Two additional copies found in depot collection 1/2011, added 5/1/2011. Has a pencil inscription "Fares didn't increase to 1/3/63" along site the date. This document was from a file of information about guest speakers (see also 00812-00822 and 00829-00837). Legatees met regularly and usually had guest speakers to entertain and inform on different subjects. The highlighted paragraph from the 1962 Annual Report mentions the low attendance of Legatees at the weekly luncheons. In part is says: "Programme Committee consists of a number of saddened and disillusioned Legatees. . . the Committee acquired what is considered were good speaker, speaking on interesting and topical subjects and so it reasoned that Legatees would flock to the Tuesday Luncheons. However the opposite was the case as, during the year, attendances fell away to around 80, despite a total of 511 Legatees now living in the metropolitan area."A record that the speakers at Legacy functions were from very different walks of life and the subects spoken on were many and varied. It was during this period that a number of significant improvements were made to roads and new bridges constructed within the shire that remain in place as of present day (2022). In many situations, the photos provide a tangible visible record of infrastructure that existed throughout the early days of the Shire.
