Report on W2 class tramcar No. 491, 23 pages including appendices, titled "Tramcar braking tests - Tram No. 491". Dated October 1960. Report looks at the braking characteristics of the tram using various brake blocks, including those manufactured by the VR, and the degree of chilling in the block and its impact. Testing done in Miller St Preston. Document bound within a manila cover stapled with red cloth adhesive tape on the left hand side. Agfa Colour slide, cardboard mount, by Keith Caldwell dated 12 March 1960, of W5 809 turning from Market St into Flinders Lane. Tram has two sets of monograms and numbers on the sides, is fitted with trolley wheels and showing route 55. Has an advertisement for British Bedford's vehicles on the front. The strip for the advert racks on the sides of the trams has been installed. In front of the tram is a remnant of cable tram track in wood blocks. A pleated panel from the back neckline extends into a long cathedral trim rounded at the end hemline - 2.40 meters long. Empire line with two small pleats on each side of bodice. A flat satin bow sits across the train, on the bodice empire-line. Zip, with hook and eye fasteners on left side of bodice. Worn with veil 11400.328. Wedding dress owned by Barbara Gallagher (nee Filcock) of Bendigo. The dress was made by Mrs Clarke of Havlin Street, Bendigo, and is an example of home made fashion of the 1960's. The dress and veil were worn by Barbara Filcock at her marriage to Kevin Gallagher on 20/08/1960, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Bendigo.
