Notes include: Introduction, Hotels, Mines, Mining History and descriptions of features where the signposts are. Mines mentioned in the text are: North Old Chum. Ballerstedt's first open cut, Lansell's Big 180. 20 head stamper, Lansell's Cleopatra Needle, Victoria Quartz Mine. Cleopatra's Needle was a square sectioned brick chimney with this four sided pyramidal chimney top with four vents to allow the smoke to escape whatever the direction of the wind. It was demolished in the 1950's as it had a bend in it and it was considered unsafe. Hand written notes on writing paper. The Tyson's Line, known for a great part of its length as the Flora. It is noteworthy for two mines, the Tyson's Reef and the Thanet. Typed carbon copy of notes on the Thanet Mine which was near the Back Creek Cricket Ground. Owing to the depth of 1000 feet, it drained the entire line. From 1875 to 1881 it yielded 10,881 oz. Water pressure was a problem with their fire fighting efforts. While this was happening a messenger came tosay the Enginehouse at the True Blue Mine was also on fire.
