This medal was commissioned by the St John of Kronstadt Russian Welfare Society to commemorate 90th anniversary of the repose of St John of Kronstadt.Awarded to certain members of the Russian community in recognition of their service and charity. This Medal was awarded by St John of Kronstadt Russian Welfare Society to Mr Anatole Karel OAM. Cross shaped Medal (in red enamel) with gold circular centre featuring a relief of St John of Kronstadt. The medal hangs from a jewelled crown which is attached to a red material sash ribbon. the medal is kept in a blue velveteen box (Catalogue item 00002b).On circular centre of medal around relief depiction of St John of Kronstadt written in Russian "St John of Kronstadt 1908".
