CEMA Art Collection. Part of "A Community View" 150 years in Portland Screenprint Exhibition. Part of Angela Gee Residency 1983 and 1984.Laminated screenprint of coastline around Nuns Beach and Portland Lighthouse. The work takes the perspective of, sitting in a car parked on the cliff facing the lighthouse. The foreground features the cars steering wheel, dashboard and red bonnet. The majority of the work illustrates the cliffs in various shades of green and brown. The watercolour painting depicts a street scene with a grass hill in the background. The street forms the centre of the foreground and features a row of buildings and cars on both sides of the street. Long shadows extend from the buildings and trees with yellow leaves frame both edges of the work. Across the middle of the work green trees are used to separate the street from the hill in the background. The large grass hill features an outlined shape (Scout symbol) on the side and a building surrounded by trees on top. Seminarian with car, 1934. Part of a collection of photographs of the Jesuit Seminary in Grimshaw Street Watsonia. Opened in 1934, this was a house of formation and study for the Society of Jesus. Property owned by Trevor Partington. The property was about 1 and three quarter acres on which was a large old and big house which Trevor partitioned into two to have tenant in the back. He used to have horse grazing on the grass.
