Stanton Bowman was a Ballarat artist who painted many large portraits of the city's dignitaries and mayors. Bishop Michael O'Connor was the first Catholic Bishop of Ballarat and this portrait was painted from a photographic studio image after the bishop's death.Signed and dated T. Stanton Bowman 1906.

An example of a bookmark that is handmade in a convent. The message is that the recipient have a happy feastday. A reminder of when religious in the Catholic church took the name of a saint as their patron and the feast-day of that saint was celebrated annually as a birthday being the recipients birthday into the order. When a person entered a Catholic religious order prior to the Second Vatican Council they adopted a saint's name and celebrated that saint's feast-day as their birthday into the order. Colour transparency (slide) created in June 1976 during a tour by the Junior National Trust, which was led by members of Kew Historical Society. The collection of 21 slides reveals that the tour covered all parts of Kew, but focused understandably on heritage buildings and sites.Image of an historic place in Kew that can be dated to an exact time and place. Rob Greig, John Murray, Neville Gower, Stafford McKnight and Gael Ramsay had no knowledge of it. The weighing machine was used in the Ballarat Institute of Advanced Education Chemistry Laboratory until it was replaced by more modern weighing machines. A bench-top single pan weighing machine with built in ballance masses, applied by external colour-coded hand wheels. Fine adjustment used electric indication method.
