Shops on Western side of Britannia Street are located on the site of Barelli's shop, dwelling and bakehouse. To the north of these buildings and across a cobblestone lane now called Enterprise Way was the Salvation Army Citadel, .a further commercial building housing a printer. Erection of this building necessitated demolition of Barelli's stable and reclamation of its horseyard. The Salvation Army are now located on the Mitcham Road and Harrison Street corner.britannia street mitcham
