Each sheet within the report has rounded edges. Contained within a printed cardboard packing case. Includes many tables, graphs, charts and coloured sheets. Report prepared by The Metropolitan Transportation Committee - 1969, looking at the planning of all forms of transport for Melbourne with a timeframe of 1985. Chaired by Vernon Wilcox, Minister of Transport. Included Robert Risson - Chairman of MMTB. Set the basis for a very extensive freeway system that was only partly followed. Functional object - Ticket punch, Set of 4, c1970
Set of four brass cast, chrome plated, machined, device or ticket punches used to cancel or punch paper tickets when purchased. Placed a hole in the ticket. Spring loaded, consists of two main parts with a pin & spring in addition. . Some of the chrome plating has been worn off. There are no manufacturer markings on the punches. .1 - number P1554 - punches a four pointed hole - would have been used at Preston Depot. .2 - number 1079, punches a hole in the shape of a club as on a card game. .3 - number 1113, punches a four pointed hole. .4 - number 190, punches a heart shaped hole. Colour print mounted within a large card frame of B class 2050 inbound on Flinders St to Latrobe St running a route 75. Has a Bank of Melbourne advertisement on the front of the tram, along with a run on its side in the front window. Tram at the Elizabeth St stop with Flinders St station in the background. In Flinders St, Christmas decorations have been strung on the span wire. Has been wall mounted or mounted within a larger frame - tape tear marks on the rear. All showing the return destination of Russell St. .1 - Shows the shops in the background. Trolley pole reversed and appears the driver is about to enter the cab of the tram. Has the run number F6. Has a Caltex, Ampol, Kix and Caravan park sign in the background. .2 - 182 at the terminus with trolley pole reversed and under the wheel locating guard. Has Run No. F5 in the rear cabin window. .3 - ditto, but before trolley pole reversed with passengers leaving the car and one lady waiting to board. Printed on Fujichrome paper.
