Photograph, Marie Herry (b. 1884) and Louis, eldest daughter and youngest son of Louis and Kate Herry - circa 1900. Marie's father, Louis Herry, was born in Purdu, France in 1855. He married Kate Handforth at Walhalla, Vic. in 1879 and came to Ringwood in 1887 where he erected a weatherboard house and bakery opposite the Club Hotel, using a Miner's Right to secure the land.
