Set of five yellow cloth back paper tickets with white front, printed in black ink, with price and number shown on the ticket. Space for an expiry date to be stamped on the ticket and name, address and school of the student. The June 1963 Fare Schedule (Reg. Item 1731) shows these tickets. They were replaced by a new scheduled issued August 1965 (Reg. Item 1732). From information provided by the Bus and Coach Society of Victoria: "The bus outside Foys belongs to Lew Page who was one of the multiple operators on Route 1 in 1950 ( he also had one bus on Route 2) which was four years before they amalgamated to form Melbourne - Brighton Bus Lines. The bus is a Reo with a Giles body. Giles Motor Body Works was based in New Street Brighton and built bodies for commercial vehicles but not a lot of buses. Their half a dozen post-war buses mainly went to operators in Routes 1 and 2. Being on Route 1, the bus would have been red and cream." A5 sized sheet of paper printed by photocopying, titled "Welcome Aboard the Cable Tram" giving details of the Melbourne cable tram set operated by the Museum during the 1987 Begonia Festival. Gives details of Grip car 593 (built new by Newton Williams) and trailer 171 (reconstructed by Darryl Hawksworth). Also gives general information about Melbourne cable trams and the Ballarat Vintage Tramway, in particular the horse tram. On bottom of sheet has a advertisement for the "Swiss Mountain Hotel", at the time operated by Darryl Hawksworth. Brochures were printed for the cable tram operation, handed out during the time run and during the following year, when operated as well.
