Manual - approx. 115 A4 pages with card board manilla covers white comb bound with a yellow plastic front cover. Titled "MetRail Passenger Fares and Conditions". At about the 1/.3 point has another card cover titled "Summary of "A" Circulars issued in reference to the Metropolitan Transit Authority tickets introduced after 13-11-83. Issued late 1983, prepared by Ian Yarde of the MetRail Projects Officer for use at Stations by Booking and Ticket Checking staff. Has a note on the second page about the introduction of the new fare system for Neighbourhood tickets, rail, tram and private buses - signed by L. A. Strouse Managing Director, dated 13/11/1983. A Bendigo 'Advertiser' article titled 'State oks colleges merger'. The State Government has confirmed the merger of the State College of Victoria Bendigo and the Bendigo Institute of Technology. The Australian Universities Commission report recommended the merger of the two colleges. Display board was once property of Port Macquarie Historical Society & Museum, but they de-accessioned it in 2016 before donating it to the National Wool Museum. Reason for de-accession was that it no longer fit with their collection aims, nor was it relevant to their location. Item appears to have been made in 1963, or at least using wool samples from 1963. Wool samples were grown by a S.F. PICKER at 'BIGGA' in New South Wales. No further information was given by donor.Light brown timber framed display board with glass cover. The Institute of Social Welfare, Watsonia operated on the Loyola Seminary campus 1973-74, which was purchased by the Probation and Training Division to run certificate courses for social workers and others. There was a proposal to establish a periodic detention centre on the site in November 1973, against which there were protests by local residents.News article, text only. John Lundy-Clarke grew up in the Kalorama/Mt Dandenong area and later in life (1972-74) began to write a comprehensive history of the area working from an original settlement map in an effort to cover all areas. This was a ford crossed by the road after Isaac Jeeves selected allotment “C” “Jeeves Saddle” in 1871 and stopped travel through his property. This photograph shows the Lower Light at Flagstaff Hill, Warrnambool, in 1895, part of the Lady Bay Lighthouse Complex. The photograph is part of the Western Victoria collection produced in 1891 by Brookes' Photographic Union in Victoria. Brookes' Photographic Union was a collaboration of two brothers, Frederick Augustus Brookes and his brother Albert Edward Brookes. Frederick arrived in Victoria in the early 1880's. He and Albert formed the organisation to produce collections of photographs including the districts of Geelong, Gippsland and the Western Victoria. This photograph was taken and published just after the construction of the Warrnambool Breakwater. The image records a snapshot of the construction of the Warrnambool Breakwater, a construction that changed the history of the Port of Warrnambool, It is also a record of the Flagstaff Hill area and at that time.Photograph, sepia coloured rectangular shape, mounted between two sheets of cream card. Border of photograph is decorated with pen lines and design in corners. Subject is the Warrnambool Harbour, with a lighthouse on a hill in the foreground, a light coloured picket fence, the harbour with a moored vessel and a jetty.
