Set of two notebook or lined journals, with light brown pig skin binding strips and in each of the corners binding, faint ruled Collins 4393 books with red labels on the outside binding, sewn sections, printed glued inside covers. Each book has been ruled in red ink, headed year and month, days, page totals with data entered for each depot of the distance or mileage or kilometres for each date, including separate tram and bus entries. .1 - Blue cloth covered with Letraset, black plastic strip on outside "Tram / Bus Kilometres" for the period 1-7-1965 to 30-6-1975. Notes change over to Kms from miles on 1/7/1974. Has head office contact details on the first page. .2 - Red cloth cover with Letraset black plastic strip on outside "Kilometres" drawn up for the period - 1-7-1975 to 13-11-1985, though drawn up to Jan. 1985. Each page has scanned to a pdf file. Page 1 - newspaper cutting and two photos of Ballarat No. 27 completing 1,000,000 miles. Item from "A Place in the Sun" written by Keith Dunstan. Photo of tram 27 by the Ballarat Courier. Date of Photo. 29/6/1968, taken prior to the TMSV Tour of that date. Black and white photograph of a group of the passengers on No. 27 during the celebration of the tram reaching 1,000,000 (million) miles in Ballarat. Glenys George, Brian Weedon, John Fitzsimons, Graeme Turnball, Paul Nicholson, Barry George and Kevin Clark. Titled - "Tramway Map of Melbourne and Suburbs" - c1952, after the La Trobe or Latrobe St lines opened. Not known who produced the map. Does not give route numbers. Has space for personal details, address, age, height, marital status, current employment, relatives, details of previous employment, references testimonials, war service. Attached are hand written copies of four testimonials from Nash Motors, Campbell Motor Engineering Works and the City of Essendon Unemployed Relief Committee dated 5-2-1932.
