Catalogue card reads, 'Queen Carnival. c1923. There was rivalry between towns Mitcham, Ringwood and Croydon. This particular year the Ringwood group was so lovely they said the Maddens must have put the money up. Back standing: LHS Maxie Benson, Vera Simpson. Sitting: LHS Nell Lawlor, Dorothy Matlock, Mary O'Regan (Queen), Amy Connell, Kathleen Sherlock. Tiny boy is Ted Matlock.'
