‘Eignbrook’, 10 Pembroke Street was built in 1904. It was the home of William Valentine Hill, journalist, who came to this home with his wife Annie (nee Boak) and family of eight children in 1904. Courtesy: Mr William (Bill) Dempsey, grandson of William Valentine Hill.Original sepia photograph of 10 Pembroke Street. A weatherboard house in the Queen Anne style with a steep pitched iron roof.
