My uncles recollection of the day is written on the back: "Photo of our old bark hut at Nowa Nowa year 1906. Dad has the gloves on with Mr Barlow. My 2 brothers are beside me and my stepbrother Les "Lee" [Ah Poo] is standing near door. Mum and my stepsister May are inside. They would not have their photo taken. Mr. Bulmer conducted a church service after lunch on that Sunday morning. N. A. Young". Alexander predeceased his father and his widow Alice remarried Alexander Young, and it's their combined family who feature in this photo.
